On updated upgraded Ubuntu 8.04, the Language support offers me to install
requested Italian translations but it doesn't install them.
I must install the deb packages by hand opening a terminal window.
For example to install the OpenOffice italian translation i must do:

mirrors, because I saw nothing on the network or in netstat while it
was hung. (It's possible I didn't wait long enough for a

itself crashes in the sound driver (in snd_pcm_timer_init). This could

I have recognized that the release candidate still does not resume after

I've just encountered this bug in an up-to-date hardy on my MacBook Pro.
I have tried a few things to try and fix it, but I haven't had any luck.
In my xorg.conf, I've switched it to use the event protocol with the
specific device.

when I run evolution it van't connect to the pop server gmail and give me a
windows to introduce my password again.
But once evolution is open, I click on the botton check mail, and it's ok.

During my kvm/qemu testing, even before Gutsy was released, I had
similar problem - guest operating system would stall (both windows and
linux) randomly when I would switch workspaces in GNOME, shift focus
from application to application, etc... As soon as I would move focus
back to qemu/kvm

Plz someone confirm this bug...
Steps to reproduce it are:
* Visit System-Preferences-Keyboard-Layouts
* Press Add and add a new layout.
* Close preferences.
* Open Text Editor or whatever you want and write something with Double-Alts it
switch layout and writes with the other layout

I just got Hardy to install on an Nvidia Raid 5. Had to use the beta
release however, the release candidate as well as the latest daily build
(as of 4/20/08) would not work.
Used the following commands with both builds of the live-cd after
enabling the universe repository:
apt-get update

The author of qdvdauthor recommends downloading the latest cvs and
compiling it with mplayer support. The seems to be some of the
problem. I tried that and that solved that particular problem.
