ok i have edited my xorg.conf to have

The first example was correct. They should all be seen as scsi, that's
the way the new libata (?) works. Also the mount points were correct.

Sorry about not getting back to this bug report with the additional
information but I just don't have time right now. Rhythmbox crashes on
me pretty frequently and quite randomly. It is possible to put a try
catch around each of the functions that crash Rhythmbox so it can
handle those issues
I too get random lockups, haven't found any special trigger so far but
happens more often with heavy CPU-activity.
Im running hardy amd 64 with nvidia graphics and it worked just fine
under gutsy.

I made a small mistake. I referred to my wireless interface as eth1
(which it was called in gutsy using ipw3945) but it's now called wlan0
in hardy.
instead of :
sudo wpa_supplicant -c/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -i eth1 -D wext
-d
I ran :
sudo wpa_supplicant

I noticed the same thing, but it was under Kubuntu, windows would leave a very
large trail while dragging, and music would stutter . But kubuntu doesn't use
