It seemed fixed in the final release, however it hung up installing one
of the LAMP packages (I think it was mysql) and never finished. I will

Chandra, now that your two pref -> security checkboxes are cleared, just
delete those 2 usrlclassifier* files and you should be good to go. They
will be recreated next time you start Firefox but will not grow beyond
9k. At least that's my experience.

I think the bug reporter has pretty clearly stated that he doesn't want to
check the "don't show this again" button, but that he does want the reminder to
continue to be shown.
The problem isn't the dialog appearing, it's that it's not intuitive which
button to click when it does come up.

Tried to install ubuntu with the alternate cd on an old computer (hardy
heron).
The cd-rom does not function very well because it even had problems
burning the iso on a cd. I had to burn it low-speed instead of automatic
speed so this is why I suspect the cd-rom.

I found a solution was to go to System: Administration: Keyring Manager
and delete a key which looked related. After that I wasn't prompted for
the password anymore.
I still consider the bug present because the UI still lies-- it claims
to save the password but a
you should not focus on the bug settings so much, what difference does
it make it being a wishlist or low priority issue? the ubuntu team is
small and doesn't have the ressources to work on that issue, you can
either consider it as something which should be implemented and is not

It works fine with the 2.10.8-1 package from my PPA
(https://edge.launchpad.net/~tormodvolden/+archive). This has therefore
been fixed upstream, and hopefully we'll get a backport or SRU for Hardy
(see bug #153572).

I *was* running hardy on my macbook pro 3,1. Without a working gdm, I
was forced to revert to Gutsy because this is my primary OS. So, I can't
test these patches. Here's my hardware info:

plugins, but it does not look like it. It also seems you are up to date
with hardy.

Err, after replacing my (new) firewire cable my camera is recognized perfectly
without any intervention.
Lesson learned always check your cable
for the record my environment: asus pk5 premium, fw323, canon a1 xh, hardy,

Just encountered a variant of this in Hardy this morning. I had a single
FAT 16 partition USB flash drive connected to my computer. For some
reason at boot up fsck was seeing it as /dev/sdb; normally my first hard
drive is mounted at /dev/sda , my second hard drive is /dev/sdb , and
since Hardy ins
