Hello,
To properly understand why the registration failed, we need the protocol
log (SIP).
There is a bug in Ubuntu 7.10 which prevent to get this log.
The workaround is this:
sudo aptitude install libopal-2.2-ptrace
Then, run ekiga in a terminal using this command:
ekiga -d 4 d4-ekiga.txt
I ended up doing just a fresh install off of a cd since I had no
configurations or files that I could not live without. The problem has
been corrected by doing this.

This bug happens on Firefox 3 beta 5 and Epiphany 2.22.1.1, so I assume is an
issue with Gecko. It works well on Galeon, though, so I could be wrong...

Running Kubuntu-kde4 8.04, with OpenOffice.org 2.4.0 (everything is installed
from the repositories).
When OpenOffice.org is open and is the foreground application, the systembar
and menu get corrupted (cfr. attached screenshot, where the menu is terribly
mangled).
