You can't download it because PPA doesn't support PPC architecture.
I went to the deb-src URL ([0] and [1]) directly, and use wget to download the
source (the .tar.gz and .diff.gz). In the makefile, ppc arch is supported (so
does ppc64). Not sure what do you mean by: PPA doesn't support PPC

Hi, the problem was that I'd no permission to open alacarte, so when
I've typed sudo before alacarte on the terminal this opens. Thank you.

Expected behavior a normal user wouldn't uninstall KDM, and in case
he does, we can't help him anyway. At least at next logout he will get
stuck on a VT eitherway.
Besides, gnome doesn't crash, it gets terminated because it's parent
(KDM) quits.

I can confirm this on Hardy. Python2.4 is required.

I have the linux-ubuntu-modules 2.6.24-19 generic package and still doesn't
work.
It did work with some previous modules like the linux-ubuntu-modules 2.6.24-16
but after the upgrade stoped working again.
May it be a conflict with VirtualBox?
