I get this error to if I run this command ("nm-applet --sm-disable") with my
user.
But, if I run with "sudo", the applet start with this messages:

It would be good if someone with more experience than me could look into
this. I needed this patch myself so I went through the process of
patching the Ubuntu source package with the changes from Debian. The

Booting fails with generic 2.6.27-6 kernel on Intrepid. I have an ATI
Radeon Mobility 9700. The grub screen shows and then when I choose to
boot Ubuntu 2.6.27-6 the screen turns black and then slowly fades to

Performance on this graphics chip is glacial.
GLXgears, that fine piece of benchmark ware is reporting about 190fps. glxinfo
reports direct rendering on.
AA text is at 31,000char/second. Something stinks in Denmark. I'll attach

So I get the following message when I click on the an attached .pdf.
"filename could not be opened, because the associated helper
application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences."
Given the frequency of this use case I would suggest this is a high /
critical issue
