I can't make this work for me:

-ousername=atm26,sec=krb5,guest --verbose
parsing options: username=atm26,sec=krb5,guest

What is needed to get this simple fix into Hardy 8.04.2? This is just
annoying, on every server this has to be changed on install. Please fix
ASAP.

This is due to an incorrectly done patch being ACK'ed earlier. The
archive admins were right to reject it:
+fail2ban (0.8.2-2ubuntu1) hardy-proposed; urgency=low
Version should be -2ubuntu0.1 from -2.
+
+ * debian/fail2ban.init: fail2ban doesnt restart after reboot because
+of /var/run
This also effects 6.06 LTS.
Although we're getting close to the date that the timezone will be
correct again using the old rules, this should still be fixed because
the problem will happen again in subsequent years within the two LTS
releases EOL dates.

evolution 2.24.0 on ubuntu 8.10 beta
This also affects Gizmo Project (www.gizmo5.com) which depends on this
missing library.
