Same problem on Kubuntu Intrepid i386 and Dragon Player and VLC player, ATI
Radeon 9550 and enablde Desktop Effects. After some seconds video hides and
shows the black screen.
When I enable Wooby windows I can see the video in VLC (across black screens)

I have the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 6000 as stated in bug
description but I don't lose only a keyboard focus but also a part of
the mouse functionality. For example I can't move windows, maximize or

I'm experiencing exactly the same with my adapter and Targus bluetooth
mouse. The adapter is reported as ID 0b05:b700 and it's apparently a
broadcom BT-253 device. It sits in an ASUS eee 901.

I tried 1.9rc1 from the bzr-beta-ppa and when pushing a branch to
Launchpad it will stall after 1/4 done and promptly eats RAM like
there's no tomorrow - I killed it when it got to 800 meg.
Downgrading to 1.8-1 works ok.
