It's probable that a later rule is overriding the group, try changing
GROUP= to GROUP:=

I just updated to evolution 2.24.3 (as proposed by the software update
tool) and the same error occured at first and second launch. (Third
launch went ok, though.) So my problem persists also with the new
version.
