[Bug 325726] Re: email-attached data damaged or only partially
I have this too... I am using Ubuntu Intrepid, with TB version 2.0.0.19 (20090105), my accounts are set up with IMAP. My server is also Ubuntu, using Xmail server. I have Squirrel Mail (via Dovecot - also IMAP) installed on the server, which works absolutely fine with attachments. I have worked around the problem by setting each account to download messages for offline capability, but this is surely a workaround, not a fix? -- email-attached data damaged or only partially https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 328484] [NEW] displayport monitors not detected in Intrepid
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. I have a new Dell Optiplex 960 - this machine has a built in Intel graphics controller with a Dell displayport digital output, in addition to a normal VGA output. If I connect the PC to my Dell 2408WFP monitor via the displayport, everything proceeds fine up to the point where X tries to start, at this point the Intel video driver fails to detect any connected monitors and bombs out. Ubuntu responds by re-starting X with the VESA driver, which works (although slowly and with resolution below that which I want to use). If I connect the monitor via the VGA port, everything works fine - X boots successfully using the Intel driver (although I would obviously prefer to use the displayport connection for quality reasons). The PC/Monitor combination works fine using displayport if i boot in Windows. I tried compiling the latest version of xf86-video-intel from source (V 2.6.99.1) - the problem does exist in this latest version of the driver too. xorg.conf is not changed from the standard Ubuntu lspci -vvx 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) Subsystem: Dell Device 0276 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast TAbort- TAbort- MAbort- SERR- PERR- INTx- Latency: 0 Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 16 Region 0: Memory at fe80 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M] Region 2: Memory at d000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] Region 4: I/O ports at ec90 [size=8] Capabilities: [90] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit- Queue=0/0 Enable- Address: Data: Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- 00: 86 80 12 2e 07 00 90 00 03 00 00 03 00 00 80 00 10: 04 00 80 fe 00 00 00 00 0c 00 00 d0 00 00 00 00 20: 91 ec 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 28 10 76 02 30: 00 00 00 00 90 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0b 01 00 00 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphi cs Controller (rev 03) Subsystem: Dell Device 0276 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast TAbort- TAbort- MAbort- SERR- PERR- INTx- Latency: 0 Region 0: Memory at fe70 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M] Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- 00: 86 80 13 2e 07 00 90 00 03 00 80 03 00 00 80 00 10: 04 00 70 fe 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 28 10 76 02 30: 00 00 00 00 d0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 xorg.log at the point where Intel driver fails to detect connected displayport monitor: (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libvgahw.so (II) Module vgahw: vendor=X.Org Foundation compiled for 1.5.2, module version = 0.1.0 ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 4.1 (II) intel(0): Creating default Display subsection in Screen section Default Screen for depth/fbbpp 24/32 (==) intel(0): Depth 24, (==) framebuffer bpp 32 (==) intel(0): RGB weight 888 (==) intel(0): Default visual is TrueColor (II) intel(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) Q45/Q43 (--) intel(0): Chipset: Q45/Q43 (--) intel(0): Linear framebuffer at 0xD000 (--) intel(0): IO registers at addr 0xFE80 (WW) intel(0): libpciaccess reported 0 rom size, guessing 64kB (==) intel(0): Using EXA for acceleration (II) intel(0): 2 display pipes available. Re: [Bug 116752] Re: NMI received for unknown reason a0 on CPU 0
Hi, As far as I'm concerned, that error didn't appeared since Hardy Heron on my laptop (Acer Aspire WSMI 1802 / 1800 series). And it never appeared with my other pc's (ranging from old Pentium II / III and recent Core2Duo's). I remain convinced (imho) that the cause was not purely kernel related, but rather a combination of hardware / drivers hiccups. In the time I signalled the problem, I could almost certainly provoke it by using compiz (advanced effects) / firefox and that on my P4 / ATI Radeon mobility (X600) video card base laptop. (Note: with the free Radeon driver as with the non free fgrlx driver made no difference). Deactivating compiz did vastly reduced the occurence of the error. At that time Compiz was also far least stable has it has become... it may also be related, although it was certainly not the only cause for deactivate it only reduced the frequency of occurrence of the error.
