I can also post such data from the Intrepid Ibex, where everything works
just okay. Should I? Tell me if yes.
Cheers! :)

Hi Alberto, I have tried the new version. It fixes the tap delay for me.
However the right edge for vertical scrolling is still much too wide. On
my Vaio, vertical scrolling works all the way from the right edge to the
middle of the right hand button under the pad. Here is a picture of the

Do you still see this on the latest daily-live CDs
(http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/)?
My suspicion is that this is a bug that recently disappeared, but if
someone is able to reproduce it on an up-to-date CD, all the better.

I have the same problem. Adding a widget to the Desktop does not work
and causes plasma to freeze.
I'm a newbie to linux, but I always tried not to inclued "risky" repos
to the list. I just did the regular updates suggested by adept. after I
(accidentally) upgraded to kde 4.2 the problem began.

however I want to put my suggestions on the table for consideration.

Public bug reported:
On my Dell Studio 17, resume from hibernate no longer works at all,
using Jaunty (updating regularly).
Hibernate seems to work correctly, the machine powers off etc, but when
I boot up, it just does a normal boot. I then get a pop up about a
kernel error etc, info attached.
This looks like a duplicate of bug 335376, however the "device with
packages" comment interests me. Under what scenario (CD, USB disk, some
other setup?) did you see your hard drive partition mounted as /cdrom?
Are you able to reproduce this?
