Another way to fix this might be to have pulseaudio run as a system-wide daemon
instead of a per-user instance. This can be accomplished by changing the
PULSEAUDIO_SYSTEM_START=0 line in /etc/default/pulseaudio to
PULSEAUDIO_SYSTEM_START=1. This should make pulseaudio start before the
timidity
I found another firewire cable (generic brand) and to my surprise, my DV camera
now works!
Conclusion: The firewire cable can work in Windows and not work in linux.

On my HP 6730s laptop with Intel GM45 chipset, and GMA4500MHD graphics
accelerator, some games show 3D oddities.
The most prominent would be Warzone 2100, while everything in 3D is just
black. Only 2D overlays are rendered. I do not have this issue, using

Definately not a flash issue. I just ran Hulu.com at fullscreen from
within Epiphany and had no playback problems. Everything ran as it
should.
So my guess is that this is an issue with Firefox.
