Hey, I`ve just restarted my computer again. It seems to be working now,
but the dmesg report doesnt mention any microsoft 5 button mouse now.

I have jaunty beta installed on a IBM T40 (Intel iw2100 wireless)
Kernel: 2.6.28-11-generic
all updates installed.
I can not connect to WPA hidden wireless network. After unhiding the
network, connection works.
I have no chance of checking if this is related to the explicit router

Its not only unminimizing effect is too slow.
I've found that all my system slows down on
unminimize/maximize/unmaximize (minimize is works smoothly by the
way).
Slowdown is global because for example even my music player stops
playback for couple seconds during unminimizing huge applications.

I took the patch from upstream Git, and left that decision to
them: upstream doesn’t currently enable by default. I think the
reason is that enabling the workaround incurs a small
performance penalty.

I am using Kubuntu jaunty.
I have an extra hard disk that I am used to spin down when using
Kubuntu. I do that with command:
sudo hdparm -Y /dev/sdb
When using kernel 2.6.28-11-generic the disk will spin down but starts
again without any delay. My disk is too noisy so it
the bug lacks informations to be useful, you need a stacktrace showing
the hang, you might also want to open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org
where the people writting the code will read it

LD_LIBRARY_PATH wouldn't work, and indeed my rebuilds of libxt with
-march=armv4t and without LDFLAGS both work if I copy xterm to a new
