I seem to have the same problem. I had sound on Intrepid, then
reinstalled Jaunty and no sound at all (not even on the live CD).

Like Eckhard I've upgraded to Jaunty (actually via an install of
prerelease version and subsequent updates) and can confirm that CDs work
fine. I can't speak for DVDs since I don't burn these.
The conclusion is that anyone having problems with Brasero/Intrepid

I can confirm this bug on a L350D-11S: When trying to suspend the screen
goes dark but not off, the LED indicator also shows that the laptop is
not in suspend mode. If moving the mouse or pressing a key you can see

using version 180 of the Nvidia driver with my GTX 260. I've got two
monitors configured as separate X screens, and if I move the mouse

I have a similar problems on a Thinkpad T61.
On the login-screen finger scanning does not seem to work.
And on the command line using sudo it does work but only if i press 'enter'
after a valid finger scan. (which is very hard to know since you have no futher
feedback)

A few informations to stop these scared comments: :-)
- unchecking 'Enable indexing' in System->Preferences->Search & indexing should
be sufficient to stop trackerd, at least after restarting your session if it's
hanging
- you can prevent trackerd from starting by going to
System->Preferences->S

I am having what seems to be an identical problem.
MSI K9N SLI Platinum motherboard with AMD 64 Dual Core Processor.
Upgraded to Jaunty on Thursday and cannot boot to 2.6.28-11 or 2.6.27-11. I am
currently booting into kernel 2.6.24-22.
Normal boot leads to hang at 'starting up...' attempted boot
I upgrade to Jaunty yesterday and was able to burn new files to a multi-
session DVD (twice). As Richard wrote, it appears that this problem has
been solved.

I have just tested this using the procedure described in steps to
reproduce and this is still here with BOTH compiz and metacity (I do not
believe this is a bug in the window manager as it is being reported by
gnome-panel). The only difference between using compiz or metactiy seems
to be the the si
