This is always the case for me on an Asus EEE 901. Touchpad sensitivity is very
slow, and the sensitivity slider (System-Preferences-Mouse) does nothing. The
acceleration slider works, though, but it is not what I want.
Is there an other way to adjust sensitivity, as a workaround for this bug?
That works perfectly well until the next reboot. I just tried it, and it
certainly stops the error messages being added to the log, with no other
observable effect. It does leave the edac_core module still loaded, so
to get the same effect as a blacklist/reboot you would also need to do
rmmod

I am using the Java eToken from Aladdin and ver 4.55 middleware.
I found that using the latest version of pcscd works (1.5.3) when running the
compiled binary with the existing 1.4.102 already installed. (the package from
aladdin requires it to be installed)

For me it failed too, on an Eee PC 1000H with UNR.
For nearly ten minutes, the installation subwindow was only blinking, like it
wanted to tell, that something is wrong. The time was to long in my eyes, so I
pressed STRG-C, so that the update could go on like it should.

I own a fujitsu u810 that has a problem using the external display. This
problem has appeared when moving to Jaunty, since the external monitor
was working ok in ubuntu 8.04.
The problem is solved in xf86-video-intel since
Using ext4 instead of ntfs didn't change anything.
I installed lm_sensors and it's true that the CPU heats a lot, but stays
within the Intel recommended limit... I will make other tests to check
the temperature theory.

I have tracked it down to a bug in glade. I am using Glade 3.6.1 on
Ubuntu 9.04
What has been happening is each time I change the UI via glade, it has
been removing the signal for the delete-event and destroy-event from the
xml file it saves:

I just made the test using cpuburn. The system stayed stable during 5 min at
nearly 70°C (didn't want to test any longer...) while soundkonverter crashed at
65°C.
So if it's a temperature matter, it doesn't seem related to CPU (or to any
other temperature I can monitor, they don't change while
