karmic xserver-xorg-video-intel update broke x on intel 915
This has happened a few more times now.
The other thing I've noticed is that it no longer powers down after a
halt. It goes through the shutdown process but then hangs at a blank
screen and I have to hold down the power button to complete the power
off.

Added : I could not experience any issue currently but it seems to raise
instabilities in some cases, slows down the boot process and seems to
prevent suspend from working properly. (Not experienced there, just saw
this on the internet while looking for solutions upon this issue on the
Internet)

It works for me after
apt-get install xulrunner
and appending
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner/xulrunner
to eclipse.ini (echo
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner/xulrunner
/path/to/eclipse.ini).
