I also experience frequent system freezes under heavy load. Even though
I am using Ubuntu 9.04 (amd64), I had the very same problems with Ubuntu
8.10 (i386), too.
The freezes are quite easy to reproduce when running BOINC or ripping a
DVD (for instance using k9copy).

Just a comment... the firmware is not available in the isight-firmware-
tools package, it is extracted from a driver that is located on your OS
X partition. I do believe this bug is not valid anymore however.

Attached above are videos of the hello.c program stairstepping in
compiz, and the same program not stairstepping without compiz. It seems
like this is a compiz bug, not a transmission one.

Hi Jonathan,
The plugin is actived. No command from powerdevil's plugin works.
It's the second computer where I have the same problem.
I killed krunner and ran in console again, but I didn't see any errors
from krunner.

I am not suffering from this bug, but I am suffering from the similar
bug 334052 (WPA2-PEAP), like ozone baby above. In my case, I was able to
fix it simply by not using the plasma-widget-network-manager. Instead
I am using nm-applet from network-manager-gnome package. I have it in my
KDE
I had encountered the exact same error first reported in the report when
I bumped up my ram from 2gigs to 4gigs
I am on an Asus Pro31sc running 64bit Jaunty and a BIOS update fixed the
problem for me.

Just a quick note: I havent experienced this problem in a long time with
8510p nor 8710w after installing the latest beta ATI and NVIDIA drivers
(via kanotix scripts). With those versions present in the repository I
had constant problems. I haven't used them since so I'm unable to
confirm whether

I've refreshed both my amd64 karmic schroot and pbuilder to confirm that
the bug is still present.
Failure to install the libghc6-utf8-string-prof build-dependency is causing the
