Looks like free memory is still plenty enough but fragmented a lot. I'm
not sure if that's caused by GEM, it might be helpful to test the non-
GEM version of X11 if possible. I'll close this one first, it can be re-
open if same symptom found again. Thanks.

account on the same machine (the one where it hangs)? If it works with
the new account, try removing the directory ~/.gnome2/evince and try
again...
