** Description changed:
Binary package hint: gvfs
gvfs (1.4.2-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low
- * New upstream version (LP: #):
- - ftp: fix parsing of CMU/VMS-IP listings
- - metadata: Make more robust
- - fuse: Return ENOSYS for readlink
- - http: Return icons
I'm seeing this too and it mainly seems to happen with Firefox. If I
load up Firefox, I'll sometimes get 2 icons in the task manager and
quitting Firefox leaves 1 icon left which I can't get rid of. I am only
running 1 desktop.

About: namebench is a google project that attempts to optimize part of
your internet experience. It hunts down the fastest DNS servers
available for your computer
Just another comment: I was able to get the vob files onto the hard
drive and in Totem the vid played from the beginning, however when
dvdrip had finished encoding the avi file, the vid started at around 10
minutes into the vid.
