some file as when I get Root... sudo nautilus I get this error and the

Thanks to wonderful Mint community I finally managed to install Mint 8 on a HDD
and see how the bug looks from there.
It seems that the scope of the bug is smaller than I initially thought. A
reboot fixes the problem. The bug only exists if you update udev and log out,
but do not reboot the
here the (German) vor button (forward, I think, it is called in English) -
changes to Install at the last screen.
When you go back to previous pages, the button stays at Install.
Maybe it's another bug, but I think the resolution would be nearly the same?

Sorry about the delay, but I wanted to check this out a bit myself
first on a few other computers. The bug seems to be confined to
openoffice.org-kde package, and should only affect kubuntu users. In
the plain ubuntu box I tried, it seems there is some other file dialog

lzming - thanks for this! I had tried that driver with no success. I
have used your patch - I ran into some issues with applying it and it
constantly asking me which files to patch. More on that in a moment. I
am getting better results, although not there yet.
First - the wait for BIT6 return
ALT+TAB (hold alt and keep tapping tab) with visual effects turned on is
ridiculously slow when I have a window (such as emacs) maximized. It
can take 1-2 seconds for the task-switch pane just to appear. This is
very annoying and kills productivity. Once the task switching window
appears,

Oh, sorry, rereading all comments, this bug report seems to actually refer to
two different bugs:
1) /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms is empty
- no clue about that
2) /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms exists and is non-empty, but dkms is removed.

nvidia for my GeForce 8500GT. After ca. 10 hours of work the mouse
