Hi Benard,

Sorry about the delay, but I wanted to check this out a bit myself
first on a few other computers. The bug seems to be confined to
openoffice.org-kde package, and should only affect kubuntu users. In
the plain ubuntu box I tried, it seems there is some other file dialog
integration package (openoffice.org-gtk?) that doesn't have this
problem, and works as you're describing it. If I remove
openoffice.org-kde, the crummy default openoffice file dialog is used
which does open "*.*" for <all> but yet finds filenames without "." in
them.

I have the same problem on my home computer which is running kubuntu
9.10 (x86-32) on much different hardware and much differently
configured.
I understand that openoffice.org-kde is relatively new and has a few
bugs in it. I'm not a programmer but I guess it'll have to massage
the filter data passed from openoffice as openoffice.org-gtk
apparently does.

I hope this helps in getting the bug filed correctly.
