I can confirm this bug, and that the solution from brian works. I have

Mark I have two PCs running 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10 and I am trying to
connect an Aiptek 14000U. Out of the box I can draw lines but get no
mouse clicks. I followed you advice and - hey presto - everything worked
fine.
I then tried to replicate the success on the second PC but found that I
had
maybe the script could somehow check if the password in
/etc/mysql/debian.cnf is still the same as in the mysql database, or if
that doesnt work, then try to login as root and prompt the user for a
password? After all this bug has been in existance now for two years and
keeps surfacing all the

wrong until then. The report told me what I wrote in the summary. This
was installed by someone else so I really no nothing about this
