I think this problem is more generic. I have an ATI x1400 using the
radeon driver on Ubuntu Karmic and I see the same problem.Right
screen is laptop 1920x1200. Left screen is 1280x1024 LCD. I have the
pointer issue, but also the window manager places desktop icons off

note also that the VM itself doesnt hang, its just the disk IO ... if i stop
the hanging process teh VM is usable as before.
if you want to reproduce install rootstock and run:

Can someone try to see whether the pxlmono driver works correctly with
Brother printers on Lucid?
Can you also try whether your printers work with the model selection

a 2,4 Ghz AMD CPU and 512 MB of memory. The printer is a Canon S520, attached
