Thanks, I did the apport-collect 556426 but the site gets stuck at the Almost
finished ... mark. I think it is the apt-get. A few months ago I did tried to
install the 195 drivers (better vdpau support) from a ppa. After a kernel

I have a brand new Thinkpad SL510. The Lucid Beta 1 live USB flash disk

This looks like memory corruption indeed: the helper is called with an
offset argument 31744, but the stack trace shows it as offset =
13822883158732864512 (which is 31744 with a random high 32 bits)
