problem has vanished at some point and I can no longer reproduce. I
haven't been using the font causing the problem for a long time either.
I never knew what package was causing this, that's why I didn't add it.
Probably or possibly kwin?
Anyhow I guess this can be considered outdated/closed
this is a hardware specific issue. I only experienced this on my
Thinkpad under high load (and I believe only with a particular version
of X). I haven't used the Thinkpad for quite a while and will need to
retest.

I had to install additionally libmysqlclient-dev on my Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
(Lucid). After that configure recognised the mysql-client and produced
the makefiles. The new built cdr_addon_mysql.so loads nicely into
asterisk. But still I hope someone can fix all issues around asterisk

I now believe this bug was caused by a conflict with a non-standard
package. I had the Firefox-4-daily ppa and FF4 installed, which brought
it's own xulrunner (-2.0 and -1.9.3 transitional), which mostly likely
have caused this. Just uninstalled both, and gecko-based yelp started
working again. -
