Public bug reported:
With the alpha 3 livecd I never get to a valid gnone-session screen. On
boot, I see the ubuntu splash screen but only sometimes does it progress
beyond that. Sometimes the spash screen stays and sometimes it
progresses to the desktop background but never past that. I do
This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-netbook-default-settings -

- add evolution express to the launcher instead of evolution to get beta
user testing
It seems to me that I could accomplish all of the goals listed above if:
a.) I could seed grub-pc grub-pc/install_devices multiselect with 'NONE' or
some other indication of don't worry about it.
b.) I can fix grub-mkconfig on ec2 to not exit failure.
grub-mkconfig is called from update-grub,
Very interesting, Senor Miller. I assume you're talking about fglrx,
yes? Did you do anything more than install that driver, such as
removing any of the old ones? Any post-installation configuration to
do?

Reading through all the comment, I still don't understand why mountall
depends on plymouth.
Plymouth is an application that runs very early in the boot process,
*even before the root filesystem is mounted!*
But why, oh why, mountall still depends on plymouth?
Please justify.
Thanks

Should be resolved for release, but nothing here is a blocker for beta.

This issue is not related to Transmission. It's related to
Transmission in the same sense that it's related to *every* gui

Cannot start graphical session when disk is full (and Ubuntu does not
warn/explain)
I have a 32-bit Lucid installation here.
My solution was to rename
/lib/libnss_files.so.2 and
/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libnss_files.so.2
Now I can use the scanner, but I do get one more error:
netdiscovery: relocation error: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libresolv.so.2: symbol
