Okay, well the segfaulting compiz really makes this look a lot like a
compiz bug. I'll pass it over to the compiz team.
They might appreciate it if you could collect a full backtrace, and/or
attach your ~/.xsession-errors file

i did this in the backwards manner : installed 10.10, which has the problem,
and since downgraded a kernel to 2.6.32.11 which worked fine, but no wifi...
From what I can tell from the forums, there is a kernel patch that fixed
this and that may have been unpatched since..

I have same problem on a Dell Inspiron 6400.
It will not resume if the screen has blanked (power saving) while in suspend.
(If I suspend have the screen saver displayed, I *can* resume OK.)
Reverted to 2.6.35-22 as workaround.

Most of the time, when booting Natty in virtualbox, it will allow
graphical login, but then stops before the gnome panel is displayed
making it unsuable. Ctrl+Alt+F1 gives a blank screen, no bash, nothing.

The screen is black and the backlight starts flashing.

Sorry, just to make this clear: Kernel 2.6.35-22 worked fine, just 2.6.35-23
doesn't.
But 2.6.35-22 does not contain a mosart driver.

I have two harddisk in my client machine. The NFS freeze happens with both hdds.
One hdd (sdb) is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 family (ST3250410AS), the other
(sda) is a solid state disk (it's labeled as 'sagitta' but I guess that means
more or less 'no name'). The operating system is
I too have the same hibernate issue , I have 3086420 kB RAM , the Ubuntu
made swap of about 470 MB , then I increased the swap size to 3087352
kB , but still I am unable to hibernate my notebook .

works for me too (on Pidgin 2.6)! And a patch is here too, looks like
this will be sorted quickly... :-)
