Lights Out worked after installing java and re-installing lights out with

The error gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256 can be solved by
starting to safemode in Ubuntu and then typing

* Install documentation to /usr/share/cmake-data instead as it's the base

Marking Invalid -- I know for a fact that some devices report garbage
for signal strength. There may be other pieces missing, but I also know
MM asks for strength regularly and NM-applet can display it (there are
definitely code paths to set the right icons). All this leads me to say
