1. Unity / Compiz crash as described in the original report

Well, the workaround is easy, but if i'm a normal user not necessarily i've to
know that i've to press Alt + mouse to move a window over the desktop limit, so
i cannot configure evolution because the forward button is below the lower
desktop limit.
I think that this is a serious usability

We deliberately try and preserve folks' launchers during upgrades. So,
if that's what you are referring to, it's as planned!
Test was successful - the /usr partition could be unmounted correctly.
One strange thing remains - the /var partition can only be mounted in
read-only mode, but that might have nothing to do with this issue.

Hi Benjamin, unfortunately in this case the automatic bug collection
didn't grab valid id's from your GPU. Often times with these kinds of
bugs you'll encounter them multiple times, and sometimes apport has a
better chance of collecting the right info. So, I'm going to close this
one out since
It's pointless to dump the driver from Mandriva as-is. The right way forward is
to split the (huge, ~2MB) diff to upstream X.Org -sis driver in logical pieces
and push them upstream for review and inclusion.

I have seen this bug several times on a brand new Core i3 540 HP system.
I see messages like these in the dmesg log:

Boots ok and log in is ok.
Problem:
When mouse cursor is moved into the sidebar, screen momentarily blacks out and
then returns unchanged. Can be repeated as much as wished, no change.
The top panel seems to work ok. The left hand side of the top panel

Skype is a classic test case; The palettes in Gimp are another. For
the latter case, there is also a wider proposal mixed in with a patch
offered on bug #716177 (The Unity Panel's window controls and window
dragging features should work for the uppermost maximized window
