[0.00] Linux version
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: plymouth
Hello,
I have a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS, with proprietary drivers, and I am using
Ubuntu Natty.
Since I updated to Natty (it was the Beta 2 version), plymouth only
shows a purple screen, without logo and without dots. It's simply
purple.

Thanks for the reply :)
I actually thought spread was a different feature of unity.
How can I close the bug, or mark it as a question?

The above file is already the result of dmesg > dmesg.txt. Also i
checked the /var/log/kern*.logs, no special part about gart there.
Insmodding still fails with the same error. I'm doing it like this:
- first ctrl-alt-F1 and log in
- then "sudo service gdm stop"
- then "sudo insmod radeon.ko" on
Sorry for the delayed response: I had the issue with both the version
from the main repository as well as daily builds from the PPA. However,
I have not checked the daily builds in sometime. When I get back to my
Ubuntu machine I'll check to see if the issue still exists and update
here.
