When I have word document opened in libreoffice for more than a day, after that
time the scrolling of the scroll bar takes a minute to finish. Redrawing the
screen seems to fail, in the sense that subsequent sentences are overlapping

After acquiring full backtrace for my crash I understood, that it is not
related to this bug.

Video card drivers generate a VBLANK interrupt when using opengl, i.e.
for compiz, as explained on the Powertop website:

It turns out that the problem with the missing translations in the apt
cache is actually triggered by aptdaemon. It gets loaded on demand by
dbus activation but its not getting any language environment from there.
It rebuilds the apt cache but without language information this will
lead to a

When aptdaemon is activated over dbus it does not get any language
information anymore in natty. This means that if aptdaemon needs to
rebuild the aptcache (which happens on almost each start, but that seems
to be a different bug) it will throw

Software Center needs to store the language
Just hit this. You can find the location in localstore.rdf where
sizemode=fullscreen, and set it back to normal, which (other than
deleting the file entirely) seems to be the only way to address this in
thunderbird.
