I waited till the patch was in for lucid till I used upgrade manager. By
detault, it now found 1:1.2.9-1ubuntu6.5, and it worked like a charm.

Wasn't me (not really). The bug-report window just popped up, after
installing a new kernel. Seems as if this Window popped up more than
once for the same error.
I could make vmware tools install after applying the patch for the
commercial version. It now compiles seamlessly with the Ubuntu
I am not sure, if this patch helps, because my setup is partly non
standard ...

Same problem, after trying to remove language-pack-gnome-fr et install
again, some package dependency version incoherency with language-pack-
gnome-fr-base seems to lock update:

It may be a good idea to wait until the next update, though. Even

I can confirm this too on 11.04 Ubuntu (64) Bit. I have nevr had a
problem with Ubutu until 11.04 its pretty much destroyed my laptop. Some
of my media console buttons dont work cant run on or off the wireless
due to laptop overhaeting and shutting down while left idle. The
keyboard becomes hot to
My SPECS:
CPU: 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Dio T6600
Graphics Card: 1GB GT 240M
HDD: 500GB Western Digital
4 GB Kingston Ram.
Im sick that its pretty much burnt out what was a good laptop and its not
covered under warranty ACER confirmed it due to heat damage.
