Just for the record: I see this problem on two different machines (a
desktop and a laptop): both machines shut down just fine before the

I just ran into this issue this afternoon on my own servers. The issue
is definitely related to the ec2.rb changes in facter 1.5.6-2ubuntu2.2.
As a temporary hack/workaround I was able to get Puppet working again by
manually editing /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/facter/ec2.rb and reverting the
can_connect?
I am running Lucid (10.04) and I have the same issue. It was fine a few
days ago. When started from the command line, I get the following

After I enabled bruno's PPA when the oneric update came around mine
still worked. Bruno said he updated his as well tho, so I may have
updated to his version without knowing. Im not experiencing any issues
here and all the bugs in this report are fixed for me...
Backspace works as it should.
Edit: On multiple tabs, typeahead works, and so does backspace, but
clicking a blank space to close the search box does not. (Again very
minor annoyance at most)

I installed all of the updates (there were a TON of them).
Now, however, the update manager doesn't offer me the update to Ocelot.
Am I missing something simple? I've checked for updates several times

have codenames, not the Updates tab.

The current specification is at

should be changed to not include codenames. However, we should take care

The issue #1 (microphone) is known from the time when this computer
model comes to market in 2008, the patch I made is from 3/2009. The
issue #2 (about unamplified part) is a new from Oneiric but the patch is
solving it in its old state, so I have reported the new bug and
I've determined that this fault only occurs when DLNA is set to yes.
This crash did not occur in the previous configuration when XBOX-mode
was set to yes but DLNA was set to no.

For lucid, it appears the sata link power script was removed in the fix
for bug #539467, although there are still some tasks open so perhaps
some work remains.
In any case, because it was removed, the issue described by this bug
report is no longer relevant, and the patch is no longer applicable.
