The ~/.config/dconf/ folder didn't exist. after I installed dconf-
editor(and ran it) and set the rights of ~/.config/dconf/user from 644
to 664. this fixed it for me.
I wasn't able to start the indicator from the command line, because I
didn't know how to shut down/kill the indicator.

1. sudo apt-get install mesa-util
2. in a terminal try it with compiz --replace
3. after the reboot, try it with ubuntu (it was set to ubuntu2d)

When I download a track in the webapp, the downloaded track starts
automatically playing in Banshee.
Why is this behaviour configured this way?

I have 2 different external monitors.
1 is recognised but the display settings not kept persistent = lost after a new
boot.
