strace is attached. While runnin oneconf-service with strace, I did not
recieve the error on my desktop from which this bug was created. If
it's of any help, I have been running this desktop headless using
tightvnc server. For the strace output I ran it with the -o option so I
could SFTP the

Hi, I haven't used this laptop in a while, but i recently installed
ubuntu 12.04 on it. It seems that the problem doesn't occur with this
version of ubuntu with kernel 3.2.0-22-generic. I also tested the
upstream kernel version 3.4.0-999-generic and didn't encounter the
problem again.

I am seeing similar symptoms.
With a Sony Y Series laptop (containing an AMD/ATI SBx00 SATA interface),
whenever AC power is removed I see similar messages in dmesg.
There are no issues at all under AC power, only when operating on
battery. The issue is present whether booting under battery
