about 4 or 5 years ago I was trying to package cinelerra with the goal
of including it in official repos.
the problem was (and still is) about licensing. people of
http://www.heroinewarrior.com doesn't really help to resolve the
situation and the whole issue was stalled. that was the main reason

- tray, Unity does not notice that skype is running, and when I press the

The Oneiric and Precise (and some older packages as well) use fixed
Debian version (or newer), so this issue is fixed.

On Ubuntu 11.10, when I try to open a .puz file with xword, I get the following
errors:

I'll have to test when I get back home and have access to server
hardware.
Looking at our current initscripts /etc/init.d/networking stop gets
called in rc0.d which will call ifdown and ultimately do the ifconfig
ethX down, unless the interface isn't defined in
/etc/network/interfaces.
So maybe
Turning of the Place Window Addin in Compiz fixes the behaviour. I
assume it would work to add Flash to the fixed list in Compiz Settings
but I have no idea how to extract the window from Firefox as flash it´s
wrapped. Any ideas?
