reports that there is another instance of Office open. I deleted the
/.config/libreoffice/3/.lock file and that error dissappears but

I've upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and after rebooting various times in a row
this problem hasn't appeared any more. I wouldn't mark it as fix released and
wait a bit more, but it seems so. Probably it was kernel's fault.
