[Bug 997687] Re: lxc-start-ephemeral needs to quote $line when echoing
** Description changed: Same bug as in lxc-clone, occurs twice in lxc-start-ephemeral + + SRU Justification + 1. Impact: container configuration files for ephemeral containers can be corrupted + 2. Development fix: quote a variable containing a configuration line to avoid expanding/globbing the contents + 3. Stable fix: same as development fix + 4. Test case: +touch abc:abc +sudo lxc-create -t ubuntu -n p1 +sudo lxc-start-ephemeral -o p1 -- /bin/bash + 5. Regression potential: the contents of the line are not supposed to be expanded, so quoting $line is the riht thing to do and should cause no regressions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997687 Title: lxc-start-ephemeral needs to quote $line when echoing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/997687/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I try Ctrl+Alt+F2, however it does not recognize either username and keeps checking forever for the username, doesn't even ask about password. To replicate, put the laptop to sleep and resume. I have noticed that it sometimes happens more frequently when I put the laptop to sleep when charging and resume when on battery or the other way around. pm-utils is version 1.4.1-9 ** Affects: pm-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: resume suspend -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997711 Title: on resume no login screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pm-utils/+bug/997711/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 993187] Re: ubuntu 12.04 64bit completely freezes frequently
It looks like we may have two separate bugs. People who have their xsession mostly freeze but can still access the console and move the mouse, and those whose systems completely lock up. I'm getting the 'completely locked up' problem. I started with the default nvidia drivers. I would get almost daily system freezes so I upgraded to the latest ones available from the 'Additional Drivers' menu. I still had daily system freezes, so I disabled the nvidia drivers from the 'Additional Drivers' menu and started using the nouveau drivers. This still locks up daily. It doesn't matter if I'm using the system or not, sometimes I'll find it frozen when I get up in the morning. I'm using 12.04 64 bit with kernel 3.2.0-24-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP. This computer was rock solid before my upgrade to 12.04. I can see errors in the /var/log/syslog file at the time of the system freeze. I get messages like the one below. Sometimes I'll get many register dumps, one for each CPU in my 8 core system. The process name is always different as well, but it's always a BUG: soft lockup error. For those experiencing just the X freezes, but can still log in remotely or on the console, it would be good to know if you see something similar. It might help determine whether these are two separate bugs or the same bug that affects people differently. May 10 12:41:54 bread kernel: [58856.680822] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s! [Bug 997417] Re: Libre Office PDF Export Graphic Degradation
Thank you for responding so quickly. The problem is not with Libre Office, but with the Ubuntu port or packaging of Acrobat Reader. I will open a new bug on acroread and close this one. Sorry for the mis-direction. - The *same* PDF file prints ok from xpdf on Ubuntu, or Acrobat Reader 9 on Windows 7 (32-bit), but is degraded when printed from acroread on Ubuntu (either 32-bit or 64-bit). Here are the exact versions: Acrobat Reader 9.5.0 on Windows 7 (32-bit) - works ok Acrobat Reader 9.5.1 03/07/2012 on Ubuntu (64-bit 32-bit) - prints degraded ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997417 Title: Libre Office PDF Export Graphic Degradation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/997417/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
