Hi,
This bug affects me too!
Lenovo Ideapad Y450 with a GT-240M video card.
I installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS and i got exactly the six screens as mentioned
above.
Also the FN brightness button doesn't dim the screen brightness!
After that i installed the additional drivers, but it remains the

I experience similar (bad) behaviour with Libreoffice on Ubuntu 12.04.
I'm editing a 1,2 MB doc-file and typing/editing and scrolling is really
sluggish. It takes a long time for characters to appear. My system is:
Genuine Intel® CPU T1600 @ 1.66GHz × 2, with 1GB memory. Before
installing 12.04, I
~/.kde/share/apps/kate/sessions/ doesn't have anything anything in the
directory, removing ~/.kde/share/apps/kate/metainfos doesn't help (it
was worth a shot, right? :) ) Removing ~/.kde/share/config/kate* and
trying to get it working doesn't solve the problem either.

Apparently my wifi started working in the new kernel after installing
ndiswrapper-dkms, which solves my problem. I actually haven't tried to
install/uninstall drivers, so can't say whether this reported bug

This is not a problem anymore, the items are not reordered, as the sort
menu is not focused, after a few down key presses you get to the first

I can't help you with access to a shell, maybe someone else can, I'm
building in a chroot for this and will eventually set up a Lucid VM for
further testing.
