create a staging PPA for you to test your builds in, and then when you

I may try that in the future if need be, but I recently tried
suspending, apparently the only form of sleep available now (previous
versions allowed two forms), and to my surprise it worked on Precise
(testing). I haven't tried it since Precise has gone stable, though. The

I can confirm the same bug. With only one workspace Spread does not
work. Added one vertical workspace through ccms and spread starts
working. However, this is just a temporary workarouund since I do not
want to have more than one workspace all the time.

This is hitting both my home server and my work desktop hard.
I can freeze my 64 bit 12.04 desktop by opening a few windows (firefox,
thunderbird, rhythmbox) and holding down alt-tab for a few seconds. My

When I uncomment this line, grub displays an error no video mode
activated and doesn't boot either.

Kernel options not effective when
I noticed this problem in 11.10. My wifi worked great in 11.04, but as
soon as I migrated to 11.10, my wifi became unbearably slow. Running
iwconfig, I noticed that the TX excessive retries was incrementing
like crazy when browsing the web:

sudo: pam_mount.c:417: modify_pm_count: Assertion
Please remove the development PPA and revert the v4l packages to the
plain Ubuntu ones.
Then verify that 'cheese' works properly. If that's woking libv4l is flipping
the image properly.
From that point Skype issues are easy to fix.

I know this, but what I'm doing is only to package 7.0.27 from Steffen's
git, since it has disabled the patch causing this bug, so this update
shouldn't trigger this bug anymore, it should be working and Steffen has
confirmed this too.
So I'm just updating the package in my ppa because this
