issue is USB-related. Although for me it seems to be Ubuntu falling out
with the USB hub in my docking station.

I am experiencing the same behavior in a small network with 1 Gb
ethernet connection between client and server. Large files can be moved
over Samba quickly. The same files over NFSv4 move very slow and pause

There is a Disconnect somewhere in cups? or a pipeline between the application
Print Dialogue and the print server.
I do not know how to track it down sorry.

t also affects cursor location (it looks like the same bug). I attached
screenshot of cursor location (which is actually at the end of line).
Adding more text pushes cursor even more to the left.

It works without the -u '' part and not without the:
export HOME=${HOME:-/root}
in the /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/share/ltsp/xinitrc file!

Tried again (as a while passed by and I am currently on 12.04): Still
same issue.
Clicking eject in Nautilus seems to remove the device correctly, but
disk usage analyzer for example still sees it - so that does not
completely unmount the drive/device!

recent update for it, could you check you /var/log/dpkg.log to see what
got updated when the issue started?
