I would say that the 'old' behaviour would be preferable if somoene
choses to have an unconfigured slapd: Instead of failing to start the
service, an empty slapd that is live and can be configured from the root
account would be a bit more user-friendly. This seems to be how slapd

Yes, I can reproduce this. Sorting doesn't work properly. I use Ubuntu
12.04 64-bit.
It always fails when there is a dash involved. Then Ubuntu uses a
totally messed up sorting system. In the following example, Ubuntu sorts
according to the character that comes after the dash, but ignoring the
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Reviewing all of the comments on this bug report to-date its looks like
there are probably two issues:
1) A potential race condition between cups and samba which means that
samba is unable to lookup the list of printers on startup.
This is indicated by the following log messages in
I think that now with the BFB in the launcher it's not good to hide it
in the concertina. If this behavior is implemented, only the icons below
it should collapse.
