on a simple dbus call. The list of applications that are shown is now
stored in a gsettings key.

is not an Ubuntu bug but, rather, affects Google Docs. Furthermore, it
appears to me that this is (1) not specific to the Ubuntu font (I have

I do get the failure as well when building locally. Somehow that failure
doesn't seem to happen in the buildd environments. I spent a couple of
minutes trying to find out how the key file is created in the first
place, but it's not dbus-lauch or dbus-daemon itself by default.

Those errors aren't critical, and they shouldn't be the sole reason for
the failure of Unity for you.
First, how are you running unity? Try running unity in a terminal, if
that doesn't help then try unity --replace. If that doesn't work, then
try unity --reset which should hopefully fix

it seems 3.5.6 series are being uploaded by Rico. @Christopher, can you
confirm that would be the person to ask?

It happens to me when downloading a file from Firefox passed onto a line
command downloader.
The problem
is not with Firefox or the downloader but as I recall with tumbler daemon,
tumblerd if I recall, whose job it is to create images to downloaded files.
Steps to reproduce
-Download media
This bug persists in Ubuntu 12.04.1.
I cannot state an algorithm that will definitely lead to the message which
tells that I have exceeded some 1400 odd seconds of inactivity.
It sometimes appears and at other times not. I do not know yet on what factors
that depends. A first impression is that

When using Unity via keyboard, e.g. hitting super, then tying an
application name, and hitting enter, Unity launches a totally unrelated
app, instead of the one the search shows.
