I have migrated a Windows XP VM from VMware to qemu-kvm. Everything
seems to work fine except my SmartCard reader Omnikey 3121. I am able to
connect it to the VM as an USB device

It is a feature that is advertised but not apparently functional in the
current Ubuntu version. So feature that has never previously worked
is the best of those three. It may be that there are changes in more
recent versions (post 1.2.2) that are necessary to make it work as well.

manager) /dev/kvm has the right permissions and ownership. User ubuntu

Same here with GeForce 7025, in adition ther is a lot of video
corruption and gets worse while playing flash video. Propietary drivers
make my 4 cores system so slow that it is unusable and noveau keeps
crashing all the time 8-P

Solved this by ecluding performance_schema (along with already exlcuded
information_schema) from the backups.

yeh, I believe its just rhythmbox for now. They are planning to add
MPRIS support at some stage (probably in 3.8) though, so then it should
work with most music apps.
