FYI, I installed the aforementioned 3.2.36 upstream kernel package in
Ubuntu 12.10 (yes, I don't have a 12.04 install handy) and iPhone 5
tethering works perfectly when booted into it. So I can confirm that
3.2.36 fixes it.

i think this is crucial: All I can say is that Minicom flashes

as usb drives are available at reasonable prices now, they can easy hold
a standard linux, not only a squashed one. it would be great if a
running ubuntu would allow to easy install linux on an usb drive.
currently this is a little tedious via e.g. debootstrap:

Low graphics mode in muxless hybrid
I'm using Ubuntu 12.10. When I download a source deb package it already
contains couple of patches that are also in this patch from reanimator.
So the patches are already applied when extracting a deb package. I
adapted the patch to apply cleanly and rebuild the deb package but it
still doesn't
On the file lightdm.log Rg67 displayed:
Failed to load session file /usr/share/xsessions/10.desktop: No such
file or directory
I think this bug is caused from this command
