+1 on this issue. Since I had to CTL-Z out of the hang at Importing
registry..., I had to
sudo fuser -cuk /var/lib/dpkg/lock; sudo rm -f /var/lib/dpkg/lock
to clear the dpkg locks.
Then I had to
fuser -v /var/cache/debconf/config.dat
sudo kill PID SHOWN IN FUSER
To clear the debconf

Lubuntu loads every single locale (ar_AE.UTF-8, ar_BH.UTF-8, etc.) when
preparing for an install (using a USB created with LinuxLive USB
Creator). This tends to make the boot time much longer than it needs to
be - for example, Linux Mint only loads English locales. I think
I created a very simple patch that allocates a larger buffer for the
contents of /proc/pid/status, and avoids the infinite loop scenario.
The buffer could still conceivably fill up, but ps at least won't crash.
A better solution would be to dynamically allocate memory when reading
/proc/pid/* ,

had to manually install shim-signed grub-efi-amd64-signed
linux-signed-image-generic and do sudo grub-install /dev/sda

Looks as if vpnc-scripts already includes these changes; both in the
file /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script included in vpnc and in the similar file
shipped by vpnc-scripts... which is recommended by vpnc.
Closing as Invalid -- this was fixed at some point since Maverick, not
exactly sure when, but vpnc
network-manager-vpnc has had a facilty to import group passwords
properly for a while now. Assuming you've since upgraded to another
release, can you still reproduce the issue?

If I understand correctly, if I am using a cedarview product and load Ubuntu
12.04.2, the following additional steps must be done.
1) Install either linux image-3.2.0-38-generic or
linux_image-3.2.0-38-generic-pae and he corresponding headers file

back to the original userspace backtrace, can we get a core file from
when this occurs? If you're using apport, this crash should be in

@Alberto, for the last two days this problem has not occurred. Maybe it
