I AGREE WITH: frankster (wtfrank) wrote on 2013-02-17: #7 It doesn't import the dates in the csv file provided by my bank. If it is only designed to import dates that use a specific separator then this is a bug with the specification, rather than the implementation. [Bug 1155687] [NEW] KDE session didn't start after Raring upgrade (qdbus problem)
Public bug reported: Instead an error message appeared about qdbus. I then checked whether qdbus was correctly installed. I saw that only qdbus:i386 (in my amd64 system) was actually installed, so I proceeded to install regular qdbus. This replaced qdbus:i386 by the regular qdbus, which finally solved my problem. Now the KDE session starts without problems. I hope this helps to fix the issue before the final release in April. [Bug 1155695] [NEW] mq_overview(7) contains outdated, inaccurate fs.mqueue.queues_max limit description
Public bug reported: The manpages 3.40-0.1ubuntu3 package in Ubuntu 12.10 contains an mq_overview(7) man page with outdated, severely inaccurate information regarding the /proc/sys/fs/mqueue/queues_max kernel limit, as follows: The default value for queues_max is 256; it can be changed to any value in the range 0 to INT_MAX. This used to be true in Linux 3.2.x, as shipped in Ubuntu 12.04. However, it is no longer true with Linux 3.5.x, as shipped in 12.10. For some inexplicable reason, upstream lowered the hard upper limit for POSIX message queues (fs.mqueue.queues_max) from INT_MAX to 1024 in the 3.5 kernel: # sysctl -w fs.mqueue.queues_max=1025 sysctl: setting key fs.mqueue.queues_max: Invalid argument fs.mqueue.queues_max = 1025 You can verify the new, post-3.5 limit at: http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/ipc/mq_sysctl.c?v=3.5#L40 http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/include/linux/ipc_namespace.h?v=3.5#L121 Please amend the man page so that the new limit is correctly documented. The undocumented change from INT_MAX queues to a mere 1024 queues is rather harsh, and it took quite some investigation to pin this down as an upstream kernel change. ** Affects: manpages (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1155695 Title: mq_overview(7) contains outdated, inaccurate fs.mqueue.queues_max limit description To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/manpages/+bug/1155695/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 184472]
Same problem here, with Slackware and KDE 4.8.2. Only, I noticed something different too: I frequently use the compose key (spanish locale), and that functionality _also_ stops working. This is very annoying, as it alwys stops at the moment I most need it (Murphy's Law). I don't actually use KDE as window manager (I use XFCE), but Slackware is KDE based and running some kde programs starts the kdeinit4 daemon. Another strange thing: I can re-enable Compose, using xmodmap, but it stops working again after a random time. I very much suspect both problems (LED and Compose) are related. Does anyone using Compose notice this? [Bug 1099246]
I've just tested and the bug is still present in Version 4.0.1.2 (Build ID: 84102822e3d61eb989ddd325abf1ac077904985) I'd been hopeful when I saw in Release Notes that some other Conditional Formatting bugs had been resolved. Thanks to the devs for your continuing efforts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099246 Title: [Upstream] Undo does not preserve conditional formatting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/1099246/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 967229] Re: Text mode shown briefly with various cryptic texts when logging out or shutting down
Hi Steve, I've linked a branch that clears the vt before lightdm starts up, so any cruft that was echoed out to the terminal will not survive when lightdm stops . This fixes the first bullet you mentioned, and also fixes this problem when you do S3. I've taken the additional step of coloring the text black, but I can take that out if you wish. As for the second bullet, basically the way to fix this is to make sure that upstart schedules in the plymouth job immediately after lightdm stops and before any other shutdown jobs are scheduled. Or as you mentioned, we could start plymouth before lightdm stops, but I'm not sure how to achieve that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/967229 Title: Text mode shown briefly with various cryptic texts when logging out or shutting down To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/967229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1154229] Re: [FFE] New Unity Dash
Release team, we appreciate your support and would like to work with you as closely as possible to get the change in and enhance Ubuntu all together. I can understand the concerns about missed deadlines and am apologizing on behalf of the team for the troubled caused. Here is what we think is happening and I would like to get your feedback to adjust things as quickly as possible: - the team will take the ambiguity of the title New Unity Stack out by providing a better summary of affected components in order to help your assessment - didrocks has set up PPAs to get test coverage in, first feedback is coming back already (based on the -prevalidation PPA). The PPAs are equivalent to the ones used for daily landing, except for pulling from a feature branch - we will engage with Nicholas Skaggs to get additional test coverage - while parts are ready to land now, the API changes render all dependencies unusable and we have been advised that it would be preferable to land everything in one go, rather in smaller iterations. Let us know your opinion - the targeted landing on our end into the PPAs is 3/22 - I had offered help earlier to your team, if there is anything we can possibly do (screenshots?), let me know Please note that the privacy settings as outlined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SmartScopes1304Spec will be landing in the PPA next week, the early version you can access today does not have all required pieces yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1154229 Title: [FFE] New Unity Dash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+bug/1154229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
