I have reported the same symptoms earlier with an Intel Core i5 PC

I also have this problem upgrading or clean install, it drops to busybox. I can
wait forever and type exit, same result, no disk drives in /dev except my
CDROM..
Kernel 3.8 does not see any of my HDDs. Kernel 3.5 works very well in Raring.
This kernel is a show stopper for me.

So, looks like the plan was to close this bug and open a new one for the
older 08Z series (since Lexmark has produced working drivers for the
more recent S405). Has this new bug report been opened? I cannot find
