I'm not sure this is a kernel problem.
I remember this problem started for me after installing updates, including the
3.5.0-26 kernel, but reverting to 3.5.0-25 did not helped, in my case.
I'm now using gdm and xfce instead of lightdm and unity, and at least
the error reports are not showing up.

I also have this bug or one that is very similar. Unity stops responding
to touchscreen single clicks after a period of time. I am still able to
use multitouch features like swiping with four fingers to show the dock.
I examined the input device in xinput and it showed clicks and releases
while the
I still need to test this theory more, but the bug seems to begin when I
use the 3-finger window actions gestures. Pehaps it is a problem with
the multutouch?

Has lots of embedded copies in src/3rdparty, but the build doesn't show
them as being build. It is a little scary though cause there is all
kinds of sensitive stuff like webkit, freetype, libjpeg, libpng, etc.

I tried loading a sparc64 class machine before loading your package with
the Debian package still installed and got to the OpenBIOS screen. After
I installed it, the same qemu-system-sparc64 invocation just remained a
dark black screen. The qemu-system-sparc binary seems to get me to
works now with kernel 3.8.5. download from http://kernel.ubuntu.com

Rereading the full bug report again, I don't see anything suggesting a reason
why you'd think you need or want to go back.
There is no change in behaviour, this was the case since a long time ago, when
ubiquity installer first moved partitioning questions to the front (Karmic?! my
memory is fuzz

This doesn't sound right, as we do not have a button labelled "next".
And if partitioning is final the button should read "Install Now". If
that is not the case, please open a separate bug describing how you go
there.

Can you describe the length of the delay? As there is a 90ms animation
when opening/hiding the dash.

I'm setting this to won't fix, as we really do not support at the moment
going back and repartitioning after we have started the background
installation tasks. There are no plan to implement cancelling
installation and restart it, as (a) it will be very complex to do and
(b) most installations shou
