Echoing #71, I have Intel graphics, and since upgrading to 13.04, Skype
segfaults on startup. This fix, which apparently works for those with
Nvidia graphics drivers, is ineffective. Skype still crashes for me with

Maybe the error was because of the xfce4-sensors-plugin package. I
uninstalled that after I had another error. I'm now running the
default Ubuntu Kernel now again. My notebook is running since 3 days
now. This didn't happen since I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04.

I copy the .Xauthority file to a seperate location and give it correct
permissions. Then, using su with the user owning .Xauthority, I connect
VNC. It is stable. Until I try to connect with remmina. I get an instant
buffer overflow.

In order to overcome this I set my status to Offline, after that I am
able to manage accounts by pressing F4 than I change my status back to
Available

Fullscreen windows seem to arbitrarily switch which screen they sit on,
though I have found a way to replicate reliably.
My configuration is:
Laptop + external (larger) screen, with external screen automatically
set up as primary display by Nvidia settings autodetection.
